Future-ready teacher education with modern facilities and academic support for quality learning
The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Dima Hasao, is the premier and nodal institution for teacher education and academic support in the district. Established in 1995 by the Government of Assam under the National Policy on Education (NPE), 1986, DIET plays a key role in strengthening elementary education and improving the quality of school education.
DIET, Dima Hasao is responsible for training primary and upper primary teachers, providing continuous academic guidance to schools, and implementing various government education programmes and schemes. The institute works in close coordination with the Department of Education, SSA, and other agencies to ensure effective implementation of educational policies.
